Leave the removable tailbone shield in for max butt pads protection, or take it out if you dont need it. This is the padded short you need for all your active sports. Soft foam pad over the tailbone area, plus a removable plastic shield sandwiched inside. Hip pointer protection. Crash Pads own Dry-Power fabric wicks moisture away from your skin. This bum protector has removable breathable pads. The shorts do double duty in that they also insulate against snow when sitting. Padding is less than an inch thick so they should not be noticeable under loose fitting clothes. They have a comfortable waist band with draw cord. Color is black.
